There are more than 130 countries actively involved in Servas.

To manage the organisation there is an international committee, with representatives from member countries. There is an international conference every three years. The most recent conference, entitled ‘Servas in Transition’ was held in New Zealand, in October 2015. More information about the conference and the decisions taken are available on the Servas International website.

Where next for Servas?

A Servas event took place from 16th to 23rd June 2014 at the Dalesbridge Centre in the Yorkshire Dales. This was a joint venture between Servas International and Servas Britain.
It was a chance for Servas friends, old and new, to enjoy time together whilst also thinking about where Servas should go next as an organisation. Discussions focused on a range of issues:

  • What makes Servas special?
  • What projects would promote Servas as having ‘added value’ as an organisation?
  • Progress on Servas On-Line (SOL) and the new website
  • Issues to be discussed at the next conference
